Revengier

revenge - late 14c., from O.Fr. revengier, from re-, intensive prefix, + vengier "take revenge," from L. vindicare "to lay claim to, avenge, punish" (see vindicate).

Curenio – Fr. prefix cure from the religious connotation “cleanse,” “treat,” or “cure” + ni, meaning “neither,” or "no." The meaning of the hanging “o” suffix is unknown, but may indicate the number zero, or “nothing.”

Curenio is a pagan deity from the then-Roman port Draguignan, which is now situated in the Var department of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur in France. He is known in modern English terms as the god of revenge, but has more to do with punishment than anything else.

Seen as blasphemous, his shrine was destroyed by a young man named Jean-Luc Ulliard, whose descendants have payed the price ever since. One child from each generation of children is cursed to host a manifestation of Curenio, who is ultimately looking for a way to be reborn into the world.
